Highscores on forums?

I think it would be pretty neat if we could have a highscores on forums this would encourage people to skill more so people can actually see there stats. One similar to runescapes would be cool

there has been many topics about this, and the reason it os not on here is coz it is hard to update everybodys stats....coz all the files would need to be checked for them to be updated..

I know it must be hard to keep highscores up, but most other servers have them and if they manage to do it then surely someone on this server can keep a highscores going without any hassle, and im not saying i can do it but i was just wondering if anyone would be bothered to do it lol.

yeah i think it would be great if somone could do it maybe they can let someone do it for an item or something this would be another good attraction to new players

Highscored would be hard but others have it so it is possible. Not sure where you guys are getting the idea of someone updating the high scores, that's just rediculous. They would have to automaticaly update.

yeah bonkers has a point they would just automaticly update everytime you log in or log out. highscores would create more goals for people cause they would be wanting to be the highest rank, etc.. i would like it.

yea, they would automatically update, but it would take ages...coz everybodys file would have to be updated...and theres like 4000 people with an acc...so it would take ages.

Runescape has over 50,000,000 registered accounts.

Why not use the same method as them and only include players with 1000 total level and higher.

Sorry my mistake, while making calculations and estimated with such high numbers I got lost in the nether. 500 would be perfect in my opinion.

1000+ would be good, coz the xp rates here are imense....and alot of people have over 500 anyway...

u can get to 500 ttl in like 20 mins....

Gno is right in a sense but you can get 594 total level from combat stats alone (not including prayer) and some people may just want to see another players non-combat skill levels.

But 1000 plus would also cancel pures out of the equation rendering it useess when it comes to the wilderness.

Umm... guys? My friend who is 15 and is amazing at coding CODED HIS OWN HIGHSCORES. He's set them to update every 3 seconds so you don't have to wait for the update to see who is the new #1. If he can code highscores to update by themselves, I'm sure someone here could either work with another person or do it themselves if they want highscores that badly.

Above 50 in a skill is far too easy, Gn0. It should be upto 80+ so only the 'pros' are on the highscores and not people that have played this server for 1 day.
